Cooling Parts History

Cooling Parts Southeast is a leading wholesale distributor of automotive heat transfer and cooling systems replacement parts for light, medium and heavy duty vehicles.  Headquartered in Winter Park, Florida, the company serves various segments of the automotive aftermarket, focusing on service/repair facilities, cooling systems specialists, body shops, commercial truck service centers and national retailers.

Managing Partner Bruce McAllister and the senior management team of Cooling Parts Southeast are no strangers to the heat transfer aftermarket, having owned and operated Core Holdings, Incorporated during the 1990’s. Core Holdings comprised 55 branch warehouses, two distribution centers and a manufacturing plant in 13 Southern states, employing more than 450 when the company was sold to Modine Manufacturing in 1998.  Core Holdings also created and distributed the nationally recognized AirPro Quality Parts air conditioning line through a network of company owned stores and distributors.

Cooling Parts Southeast was established in 2005 with the acquisition of ACP of Florida and its four locations in south central Florida.  Following an aggressive growth initiative that added 14 new stores in 2006, the company will acquire nine existing Proliance warehouses and open 14 additional branches during the first quarter of 2008.  After this expansion phase is complete, Cooling Parts Southeast will operate 44 distribution centers throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Virginia. The company is now the largest privately held wholesale distributor of heat transfer and cooling systems products in North America.

Cooling Parts Southeast will continue to lead the thermal management industry and grow our distribution network throughout the southern United States.   The company is also rolling out a national marketing program spotlighting our Polar Bair Parts air conditioning product line during 2008.
